What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a visual, non-verbal form of therapy that helps people work through physical, social and/or emotional difficulties using the medium of art.
Art has always been used for self-expression and to convey ideas and emotions that are difficult to describe verbally. The creative art processes and the person’s responses to the created artwork can be seen as reflecting an individual’s development, abilities, personality, interests, concerns and conflicts.
